The Homeobotanical system comprises 26 herbal blends covering a wide range of conditions treated by natural health practitioners. The concentrated blends and then dilutes and potentised homeopathically to enhance their medicinal power. All remedies are mutually compatible and can be mixed in an infinite variety of ways to restore the health of a patient.
Homeobotanical remedies are classical blends of herbal extracts and tinctures which have been prepared to cover all the usual health conditions met with in a natural health clinic.
These formulations are then potentised in the homeopathic manner to release a healing energy which seems quite unique.
The thirty basic remedies can be blended in any combination or proportion to match the health needs of the patient. From a case history, remedies which seem appropriate are selected from a chart, and then a prescription is blended to suit the patient's needs. Each remedy in the range stimulates healing in either an organ or a system of the body.
The system is easy to learn because each remedy is labelled in this fashion: A for Asthma, B for blood purifier, C for colds and flu, L for liver and so on. The four special remedies have been given names indicative of their use: Candi for candida infestations, Trauma for physical injury and Cerebra for mental alertness and memory.
Through the process of homeopathic potentisation, each remedy is capable of selectively stimulating homeostasis. Homeobotanical (Hb) therapy is a “mix and match” philosophy where the symptom picture presented by each patient is addressed on an individual basis.
A typical prescription contains a blend of three or four primary Hb remedies to reinforce the natural efforts of the body to restore health.
Homeobotanical therapy is a “core therapy” – or one which is so basic, a blend can be prepared for every patient who presents for help. On this “core” is added whatever other therapeutic manipulation is desired, be this medicinal, nutritional or psychological support.
Once the homeostasis of the patient has been stimulated, clinical results improve dramatically with a practitioner’s existing therapies. Add to this, the low cost to the patient and it is obvious why so many practitioners are enthusiastic about using the New Herbal energy.
The remedies come with a comprehensive set of notes which explain in detail the manner of preparation, prescription and dispensing. Data sheets on each primary remedy give a deep understanding of the range of action for each blend.
A knowledge of herbal medicine or homeopathics is not needed to use the system. A regular newsletter is issued to keep Homeobotanical Therapists up-to-date with developments and experiences from other practitioners.
Homeobotanical remedies have these distinct actions in the body:
Physical action includes organ drainage or stimulating the elimination of toxins from specific areas of the body. There is a nutritional component, which assists in the assimilation of minerals and other micronutrients and a synergistic action which reinforces whatever other healing techniques are being employed.
The Dynamic action arises from homeopathic potentisation and enables these Homeobotanical (Hb) remedies to directly stimulate healing within the body. The low potency adopted produces a gentle, sustained response resulting in remarkable few problems in sensitive patients.
Never designed to be a “pure” therapy like homeopathy or phytotherapy, the Herbal Energy remedies are used as part of a wholistic health support programme. The remedies may be used in the following ways:
A in the early stages for organ drainage to clean out accumulated toxins and to get the healing process started. This improves the patient’s response to the constitutional remedy, which is usually given a month later.
B During subsequent consultations to “fine tune” the patient’s progress with Hb remedies and/or any other therapies being used.
C At the end of a case, can be used as a maintenance programme for several months to round out the healing process.
If Hb therapy had a motto, it would be “There is on one way to health”. It has been fascinating to see the number of different ways that Hb therapy has been used in all manner of natural healing practices.
Many healers believe that dis-ease begins through emotional disturbances and the mental basis of most health problems is a vital consideration. Mental and emotional symptoms are not well developed in the low potencies, so to support patients in this essential area of healing, Bach Flowers can be added to the Homeobotanical blend.
These remedies contain physical herbal components, potentised energy and emotional vibrations are known as “potions”. Research is continuing into the esoteric realms of these potions using other flower essences to complement the Bach remedies.
Some early applications of Homeobotanical remedies to spiritual healing and auric cleansing are being made. Therapists working with massage and manipulation use Homeobotanicals to reduce pain, promote deep relaxations and reinforce their healing endeavours throughout the body.
In clinical practice, the Homeobotanical remedies are being used in as many ways as there are practitioners because the system lends itself to individual applications. As a “core therapy”, the remedies are so easily prescribed and dispensed, they are being used as the basis of treatment for practitioners of acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, osteopathy, naturopathy, psychotherapy, classical herbals, orthomolecular therapy and a whole spectrum of esoteric healing techniques.
Suggested dosage rates and precise directions are given to guide the beginner. The blends can also be easily altered to meet changing requirements as treatment progresses.
As this new therapy matures and develops, it is assuming a character of its own which is distinctly different from its herbal and homeopathic roots. It is now known that the Homeobotanical remedies are capable of directly stimulating homeostasis and selectively modifying the immune response.
